The ByFolKal Band is made up friends and family. We're a large band (10 members). It's been said that the only band larger is a marching band. We play at family reunions, craft shows, famers markets, churches, retirement centers, and just about anywhere else we're asked to play.
Pat Loving : Pat is our lead guitarist and banjo player. Pat is also our lead male vocalist.
Vivian Loving: Vivian plays the Dobro® as well as being our lead female vocalist. She is married to Pat Loving.
Sam McDaniel: Sam plays the stand up bass as well as guitar. Sam is our tenor vocalist.
Carol McDaniel: Carol plays the mandolin. Carol is also one of our female vocal harmonies. Carol is married to Sam as well as being Judy Johnson's sister.
Glen Johnson: Glen plays the fiddle, guitar, harmonica, and almost anything he picks up.
Judy Johnson: Judy plays the autoharp. Judy is married to Glen and is the sister of Carol. Judy is another of our female vocal harmonies.
Lloyd Mendenhall: Lloyd plays backup guitar. Lloyd sings the bass line.
Gil Mayo: Gil is the twist in this Bluegrass band. He is our drummer. Yes, I did say drummer.
Joyce Mayo: Joyce is our sound person and plays the dulcimer. She rounds out our female harmony. She is married to Gil .
