SILVERCREEK BLUEGRASS BAND
Silvercreek Bluegrass Band is an all-acoustic ensemble whose four musicians have been playing together for about eight years. The group of friends met after joining the Green Country Bluegrass Association.
Silvercreek keeps busy playing weekly at many area retirement facilities as well as parties, family reunions, and special events. They present their love of bluegrass music with a burst of enthusiasm. Silvercreek does a variety of vocals and instrumentals, always including some bluegrass gospel.
Ken Miller plays the guitar and sings many of the fans' favorite ballads. Sue Lins is the female vocalist for Silvercreek Band and also plays the mandolin and bass. James Keith loves to kick off the programs with one of his great fiddle hoedowns. Florence Rohr ties everything together with a powerful bass rhythm and often joins in with James to play a twin fiddle tune.
The main objective of Silvercreek Band is to bring enjoyment to others through their music. They maintain that “all the good times are not past and gone!”
